What I’m Reading
Celiac Disease - A Hidden Epidemic
Is Gluten Making You Sick?
Dr. Peter H.R. Green, M.D., and Rory Jones, M.S.
This just might be THE definitive book on celiac disease.
Dr. Peter Green is a world renowned celiac disease expert and Director of the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University. This book is written in collaboration with Rory Jones, a medical writer and Adjunct Professor of Narrative Medicine at Barnard College of Columbia University.
The book starts out with a questionnaire; 28 questions covering symptoms and related illnesses that, depending on your score, might lead to to consider getting tested for celiac disease. What a way to cut to the chase!
It then goes on to cover the entire universe of celiac disease from describing normal digestion and how people with celiac disease are affected to solid, practical recommendations for managing the disease.
Read my review of Celiac Disease a Hidden Epidemic, and if it sounds interesting, there’s a link for you to grab the book.
